New release!

I'm super excited about my new story, due to be released in Dreamspinner Press's latest anthology, Cuddling which releases on 12th August 2013:

What happens after  'happliy ever after'? No matter how long they've been together, the couples in this anthology find that keeping a relationship alive takes work. Whether it's job conflicts or family issues, the seven-year-itch or just plain stuck-in-a-rut routine, these men face the challenge of keeping the spark alive with humor, creativity and romance.

My story is called The Responsible One, and is the story of Tom and Owen:

Tom has always been sensitive about the age gap between him and Owen, but after five years, they’re still together.  Lately though, things have been strained.  Tom’s job has been making him unhappy.  He’s overworked and resentful.  He knows he’s been neglecting Owen, but why can’t Owen see that Tom needs some support for a change?
Owen’s worried about his lover. Tom’s working too hard and it’s taking its toll in stress and insomnia.  When Tom leaves him at home to go and spend yet another Saturday working, Owen stumbles on a secret stash of porn Tom’s hidden away.  Owen’s dumbstruck.  Does Tom have secret desires he’s never admitted to Owen? And if so, what does it say about their relationship that he’s never spoken up about them?

Maybe This Time releases 16th January

I am so excited about my new release with Dreamspinner Press on Wednesday

I completely and utterly adore the cover!

Coming up in the new year

My next story, Maybe This Time is coming out from Dreamspinner Press on 16th January 2013!  I ADORE the cover!

Wrong place, wrong time.

Every few years, Will Hardwicke runs into Rob Cunningham, his first crush. Unfortunately, something always prevents them getting together. As teenagers, Will is too scared to publicly admit he’s gay. Years later, Will’s out, but Rob already has a boyfriend. It seems the stars are aligned against them.

Finally, Will gets another chance. This time, when Fate decides it's time for his once-a-decade run-in with Rob, Will wants to ensure things are different. For the first time, Will and Rob are both out and available—it’s now or never.

Mr Perfect's Christmas is coming!

My new story, Mr Perfect's Christmas, releases on 13th December with MLR Press and I'm so excited!  Blurb below:

A Christmas gift turns enemies into lovers.

The last thing Sam Warren wants to do is go to his new employer's Christmas party---particularly since his arch-nemesis, Nick Foster, is going to be there. Nick's been undermining Sam with his boss, and the fact that Sam can't help lusting after Nick only complicates the situation. But it seems the Christmas Spirit is at work. When Sam receives an unexpected gift from Nick, it makes him question his assumptions about his rival. Could it be that he's been misinterpreting Nick's actions all along? And is his reluctant attraction to Nick reciprocated?

Good stuff coming up...

I've sold a couple of stories recently and am mightily thrilled!

The first one is a Christmas story called Mr Perfect's Christmas and it will be published, unsurprisingly, in December by MLR Press.  I love the heroes in this story: Sam Warren is a proper Mr Perfect with great clothes, buffed nails and perfectly styled hair- but he isn't as confident as he seems.  He resents the effortlessly brilliant Nick Foster who seems to take great pleasure in making Sam look like an idiot in front of his new boss - but is that what's really going on?  And might a secret santa gift from Nick make Sam re-think all his assumptions?

Next up is Maybe This Time which will be published by Dreamspinner Press in March 2013.  I loved writing that story, plundering my memory to re-live clubbing in the back of beyond, attending school friends' wedding receptions and listening to long forgotten music. My heroes, Will and Robb, get the chance to get together when they're 18 and again when they're 28 and both times they miss out.  Another decade has passed and they've got one last chance - will it finally work out this time?

Can't wait to share covers and more details!

What's happening?

I thought I'd put out a little information about me and what I'm working on just now.

I wrote Lord Atwood's Lovers quite a while ago, however, it took a bit of time for it to come out in Harlequin's publishing schedule.  I loved writing the story and always intended to write more. However, real life intervened for a while, preventing that from happening for various reasons.

Well, things have changed now and I've been writing with fearsome enthusiasm since the start of the year.  I've got several stories out with publishers that I'm waiting hearing back on and several more in progress.  They cover a number of genres - historical, contemporary, M/F, M/M/F and M/M - but they all have one thing in common: sexy, emotional stories with a Happy Ever After.

Given the time it takes for stories to be reviewed by publishers, then edited and fitted into schedules, it may be some time before another Eva Clancy story comes out.  I was thinking about a posting a free story on this website.  What do you think?  Please vote in the survey to help me decide what to write!

Good Choice Reading
With a very steamy erotic love scene, I wanted to read more! I really loved how it all can together and how they all opened up to what they are all feeling. In the end I think they all found what makes them happy. A short story to read just before going to bed, I truly enjoyed it!

Tori MacAllister
It’s hard not to be impressed when an author is able to suss out three very different characters, establish a strong sense of a historical time period, and infuse a story (particularly a menage story) with a tremendous amount of love and emotion, but Eva Clancy manages to do just that. Your heart aches for these three damaged people, who all share love for one another and together can manage to be a stronger whole.
Love Saves the World
What I love about this novella is how the author treated the menage scene -- it did not feel gratuitous. The desire and passion that the three feel is authentic.  This is Eva Clancy's debut and I look forward to reading more from this author.
